It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

We are having such a wonderful Christmastime at the House of Hooper, that blogging has taken a backseat! We have continued on with traditions we started last year and added more this year. Lucy is still loving having an advent calendar tree. Every morning, even before she wakes us up, she stops to move Santa over a day. The last few days she has been counting how many more days as well! We are all enjoying looking at Christmas lights....we have been almost every night for the last week to see a few here and there. Laney cracks us up with her "wooooooo" every time she sees something pretty and Lucy keeps us posted whenever she sees her favorite reindeer. It's nice to take the time to turn off the radio (and DVD player) and just enjoy the sights.

A tradition that was also started this year includes a new visitor to our house. His name is Elfie. Elfie is one of Santa's super secret spy elves. Each night, after the girls are asleep, he dashes home to the North Pole to update Santa on their behavior and also what toys they want. He keeps us on our toes, because each morning, Elfie has found a new place to hide!

Lucy has also come to love going to Papa's work to see Santa and to play. Each year Coleman has a party for the families of their employees. Inflatable slides, bouncys, snow globes, figures, etc. are all set up, along with the prettiest Santa. Lucy even asked Papa about it a few weeks ago...she had remembered from last year! So this afternoon, we spent 2 1/2 hours doing all fun stuff....

Sliding down the slides

Look at that smile!!!

Boing! Boing!

Me too! Me too!

Take my picture in front of them all!

Choo!Choo!

I want a barbie ballerina and a snowglobe.
Laney wasn't the biggest fan of Santa. She never really screamed, but she never made it to his lap, hence the family photo. She is at the stage of "no one holds me unless they are family" She did finally manage to give Santa a high-five!
