Another night cap

Way back when Laney was still in her crib I posted about her wearing a hat to bed one night. The girls got new hats the other day and Laney has been obsessed with hers to say the least. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

More Turkey Time

We spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of thanksgiving week with Nana, Papa, Gaga, Meggy and the kids. From about 4 pm Wednesday til after lunch on Friday the only time we really heard from the kids were when they were hungry! We celebrated Landon's birthday, so they had fun playing his new Skylander wii game, making videos, having dance classes and other random kid stuff! The adults ate and laughed and ate some more!! We have such a great time together and have so much to be thankful for! Unfortunately I only got one good picture. This was Landon and Lucy telling each other goodbye.

Thanksgiving in Lawrence

We spent this past weekend in Lawrence celebrating Thanksgiving with Kevin's side of the family. Since his brother now lives on St. Louis we don't get to have everyone together as often. We were very fortunate that the weather was beautiful and we got to okay outside. Saturday the 10 grandchildren on his mom's side all got to hang out and play. There was lots of baseball and football going on. Sunday was spent at the park with his dad. Lots of running, sliding and of course playing catch some more!

Bunny Monster

Laney has a new face that she likes to give you when she is feeling mad or silly. She calls it "bunny monster."

Fashion show

The girls decided to put on a fashion show for us a few nights ago. They set up the judge's table and even had scoring sheets. The supermodel, aka Laney, put on a variety if outfits that were all stunning. She even acted out the roles of each character! Lucy and I decided that the winning outfit was the Wingnuts uniform!

Halloween

Halloween was easy this year--no fuss over who was going to be what, or changing minds a thousands times.  From about the middle of August, both girls were dead set on being witches.  Lucy was Incantasisa, the Glamour Witch and Laney was a Twinkle Witch. Her costume lit up around the skirt!  We had lots of fun decorating the house and attending school parties, Night of the Living Zoo, trick-or-treating at Cabela's, pumpkin carving and of course Halloween night itself!
Lucy cracked me up about carving pumpkins.  Nana and Papa were out of town and she was so worried about who was going to carve her pumpkin.  I guess she lacked confidence in Kevin and I's ability...which I can't say I blame her, since she is used to Papa carving her up something pretty cool!  Thankfully, Papa arrived back home in time to carve pumpkins!  Bubble Puppy for Laney and a Witch's Hat for Lucy!

The girls had a blast this year and collected a TON of candy!  Laney has already said that next year she will be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, so she can carry a dog and Lucy is going to be a witch again!

Cousins!!!!

After Geoff, Meggan and the kids moved back to Bentonville this summer, the girls have been begging and begging and begging to go see their new house!  We finally got a weekend mapped out and hit the road! The girls were off school the Friday we left, so we got to get there late in the afternoon to start the madness!   We had such a great time roasting marshmallows for smore's (or watching Landon catch them on fire!), watching Landon score touchdowns at his football game and just hanging out!  I know that I have said it a thousand times before, but it is so much fun to watch these 4 play together.  At one point I went upstairs to have Laney laying on the floor with a microphone headset and a nerf gun ready to fire, then 5 minutes later she was playing baby dolls again.
