Laney turns 4

I always feel a little sad for my girls because they have summer birthdays...difficult to celebrate at school, hard to celebrate with friends in the summer with vacations and baseball, but then I think they are lucky because they pretty much celebrate for a month :)  We started Laney's celebration her last week of preschool with her "pretend" birthday.  We had cupcakes with rings, straight from the Walmart bakery, per Laney's request.   She also got to celebrate her day at school with one of her best friends, Hannah.

The Wingnuts were playing in Kansas City for Laney's real birthday, so we hit the road with Daddy for a few nights to celebrate with Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa, Grandad, Dave, T, Hudson and Harlow and a few other baseball friends that joined in.  The trip didn't start off too well, when 2 minutes from arriving Laney got sick in her car seat.  YUCK.  Thankfully there was a car wash next to the hotel and Nana and Papa were coming the next morning and could bring a back up seat! For her actual celebration, we went to Dave and Busters.  We got there early (my mistake), Laney had to use the potty, and the only public restroom was seemingly miles away and had 2 stalls.  Legends really needs to remedy that problem...pronto.  So, we started our day off with an accident, but the birthday girl got an extra present of new panties :) Laney also enjoyed an afternoon of games, games more games and cake!
Playing games with Lucy
Racing with Daddy.  She talked about doing this for weeks!
Blowing out the candles!

At four years old, Laney is just a breath of fresh air.  She is spunky and sassy and sweet.  She knows how to push your buttons to make you want to scream, but at the end of the day all you want to do is snuggle this sweet baby.  She does things that you know you should scold her for, but you just laugh instead.  She is constantly making people laugh.  Laney does not like Spinner...won't even come close to him at the ballpark.  She loves to ride her bike and play Barbies.  Laney loves Ribby and any other dog that crosses her path.  She wants to be a vet when she grows up.  Love you Laney Bug!

Fun! You were literally 4 minutes from our house. Let us know when you're out here again. I know Brook would love to see Kev!
