Lawrence

We made a quick trip to Lawrence and back yesterday to attend the Lawrence High baseball game. Kevin's jersey was being dedicated at the game yesterday afternoon, which was not a beautiful day. With the game being cancelled Tuesday afternoon because of poor field conditions (which still existed Wed) and the threat of rain all afternoon, we headed north on the turnpike around 3 pm. By 5:45, we were at the ballpark, for the hopefully 6 pm first pitch. We waited and waited, and finally around 6:15, they introduced Kev and dropped a banner down under the scoreboard depicting his jersey number and name. He then threw out the first pitch as the rain drops starting falling. We left and went to dinner with his mom, step-dad, brother and his fiancee, where it continued to rain. By 8:15 pm, the rain had stopped and we headed home and were all nicely tucked in by 11:30 pm.

The Lawrence Journal World did a very nice story on Kev here.

How great for Kevin. Linds, how are you feeling, how is the pregnancy going, doctor's apt. etc.? 30 weeks, you are on the down hill slope!
