Weekend Getaway

After all the excitement here last week with Kevin being named manager of the Wingnuts, it was time to take a little break.

A little break equaled a LONG roadtrip. 4 hours to be exact. Doesn't sound so bad, but factor Laney into the equation and it gets a little longer She did OK. Not great, but not horrible. It helped that I could climb into the back seat and hang out with her.

We headed down to Bentonville, Arkansas to see my brother and his family. It was great fun! The kids played and played and played. And fought a little. Claire and Lucy (I think Lucy was a big factor) managed to practically put all of Claire's clothes on her floor. Landon just did his own thing and joined in with the girls when they weren't being "too girly."

Other fun activities were making turkeys, riding in the Ranger, racing go-karts and playing games at Fast Lane, eating Chick-fil-a and just hanging out. We finally got to meet Maddie, their adorable goldendoodle...and boy is she a cutie. Lucy did not like Maddie though, because the first night when the kids were all running around Maddie barked at her to keep playing and she freaked out.

We had a great time, as we usually do with them! Thanks again for everything guys!
